Worshiping at Knox
Screen Shot 2014-05-03 at 8.19.33 AM
Worshiping our God is an essential component of life at Knox. It is an opportunity for our whole community to gather to praise the living God, to pray, to be uplifted by the message as it pertains to our daily lives, and to be inspired as we seek to live out the exciting gospel invitation to love God and our neighbour.

All are invited and welcome to attend our worship services.

This week’s Bible reading, Sermon and Bulletin are available here...

Two Worship Services at 8.45 and 10.30AM
(Note: there will be no 8.45 service until January)
Early Service. 8.45am
This is an informal service often led by various members of the congregation. The music is often contemporary and accompanied by guitar and piano.
Later Service 10.30am
This is a more formal service during which we offer Church School classes for younger members of our congregation. A choir leads the ministry of music accompanied by a pipe organ or piano.

During the summer months there is only one service of worship:

Sunday 9:30 a.m. – The approach alternates between the Feel The Spirit and traditional styles. There is a program for young children during the traditional services and crafts and activities during the alternative services.

On Easter Sunday there are two services of worship:

7:00 a.m. – Sunrise Easter worship followed by a light breakfast in the Church Hall.

10:30 a.m. – Traditional Easter worship with Holy Communion.

On Christmas Eve there are three worship services: 5:30 p.m. – This service is planned for families with young children. Many of our children and youth actively participate in the service. 8:00 p.m. – This service is planned for adults and families with older children. It includes candlelight with an emphasis on scripture and carols. 10:00 p.m. – This peaceful service includes candlelight, sacred music, a message for the season and the sacrament of Holy Communion.

Special Worship Services:

A number of other worship services take place throughout the year. Watch for details in Knox News and Reflections  and consult our calendar   for dates and times of all worship services.
Audio tapes are available for some of our Worship Services for those unable to attend.
